School Leadership Counts: What Factors Make Leaders Effective

On October 31, 2017 we held a virtual discussion of School Leadership Counts, a new report from New Teacher Center and the Consortium for Policy Research in Education at the University of Pennsylvania Graduate School of Education that identifies the specific instructional leadership and teacher leadership variables that correlate to student achievement.

As part of National Principals Month, on October 31 at 11am ET – 12pm ET,
Dr. Richard Ingersoll spoke about he report and provided a high-level analysis on the findings.

NTC’s Vice President of School Leadership, Colleen Oliver and principals from the National Association of Secondary School Principals’ Breakthrough Schools provided reactions to the report, noting how these findings play out at the district and school level.
