Early Learning

New Teacher Center’s Early Learning program provides job-embedded professional learning opportunities for coaches and administrators with an emphasis on early learning pedagogy and formative assessment tools targeted at quality instruction. Our research-based coaching model accelerates the effectiveness of teachers dedicated to 3-, 4-, and 5-year-olds by building instructional and reflective capacity while focusing on continuous quality improvement. Our series for elementary principals and instructional leaders is designed to support leaders’ understanding of early learning pedagogy to scaffold teacher improvement and student success.

Teacher Induction

New teachers have unique needs as they enter the classroom. Ensuring that they have high-quality support allows them to deliver impactful student learning and builds their confidence to stay longer in the profession. New Teacher Center’s two-year Teacher Induction program prepares mentors to support new teachers and accelerate growth through 1:1, ongoing, job-embedded feedback and formative assessments in an optimal learning environment for both educators and students.

Instructional Coaching

With continuously shifting student populations and new, rigorous academic standards to implement, the role and impact of instructional coaches is imperative to increasing educator effectiveness. New Teacher Center’s Instructional Coaching program offers two years of on-the-job coaching for all teachers by well-prepared peers. It prepares teachers to help students meet higher, more rigorous standards by focusing on rigorous, standards-based learning, social and emotional learning, research-based instructional practices, and diverse learning needs.

School Leadership

New Teacher Center offers partners a customized strategy to develop district expertise at providing school and district leaders capacity-building support through professional learning opportunities, peer networks, and in-field coaching over a two to three year engagement. These leaders learn to coach for instructional results, build strong learning environments, distribute leadership, and engage school communities in continuous improvement. New Teacher Center’s research-based program integrates learner-focused and learner-led experiences that emphasize mastery through authentic practices. This not only empowers, inspires, and innovates school and teacher leaders, but transforms schools and creates optimal learning environments so that all students can succeed.
