Two webinars on early learners and virtual classrooms

In early 2020, New Teacher Center hosted two webinars on how to bring the power of play and fun into a remote learning environment:

Play in Remote Learning

Key themes included: using technology to create engaging games that include all learners, the importance of family communication, using play as a means to drive learning development in a virtual classroom, and adapting (not eliminating) play-based techniques to meet each learner where they are that day.

Making Remote Learning Fun

Key themes included: bringing fun beyond the screen, building a sense of community, pathways for self-expression, and leveraging engagement tools (guests, breakout rooms, etc.) to keep kids on their toes.
