To align with its new strategic plan, our longtime partner, the Hawai’i State Department of Education, reached out to NTC to help design its statewide math teacher leadership initiative.

Through HIDOE’s math Teacher Leader Collaborative (TLC), NTC trained a cadre of highly skilled math instructional coaches to provide teacher support to improve local mathematics instruction in their home sites. We then worked intensively in two systems to design deeper support and create local conditions for success.
