Alabama

Birmingham Public Schools and Samford University

This pilot project is funded by a Carnegie K-17 Teacher Induction Partnership (TIPs) grant working with five elementary schools.

Alaska

Alaska State Mentor Program
NTC helps to design and implement a full-release mentor model which is part of a statewide induction program in this three-year project.

e-Mentoring for Student Success (eMSS)
Mentors and beginning teachers from across Alaska are participating in eMSS in 2005-2006.

Arizona

AZTEP
NTC works in the greater Phoenix area with a consortium of several school districts to implement a full-release mentor model.

Arizona Department of Education
NTC is working with an Arizona DOE-funded induction program using NTC electronic FAS tools that involves full-release mentors working across several school districts.

Colorado

Mapleton School District
This semi-urban school district adjacent to Denver is part of our Carnegie-TIPs program and implements our full-release mentor model using many elements of our FAS.

District of Columbia

District of Columbia Public Schools
This three-year project funded by Wachovia helps NTC to partner with DCPS to establish an induction program with full-release mentors designed after the NTC induction model.

Georgia

DeKalb County Schools
NTC worked with DeKalb County for the past three years, providing professional development to mentors and literacy coaches.

Hawai'i

Hawai'i DOE-University of Hawai'i
This three-year project provides support for mentors, with one component of the program focusing on special education teachers.

Maui Pilot
NTC supports a full-release mentor model using national FAS.

Idaho DOE
NTC supports the implementation of statewide induction program, using our national FAS.

Chicago Public Schools

NTC partners with Chicago Public Schools to create professional development models for teacher induction and new administrator support. Initial efforts have been subsidized by the Joyce Foundation.

NTC works with this small, suburban/rural district to create a professional development-oriented teacher evaluation system, using the NTC Continuum of Teacher Development to align it with their existing teacher induction model for full release mentors.

Minnesota

Department of Education
NTC provides consultation in teacher induction for the Minnesota Department of Education.

Mississippi

Department of Education
NTC developed and conducted statewide mentor training and Developmental Continuum-aligned INTASC Standards.

Montana

Durham Public Schools
The Teacher Induction Partnership, funded by the Duke Endowment, involves 40 full-release mentors working with all beginning teachers in Durham.

New Jersey

Patterson School District
NTC provides mentor training for the Patterson School District.

New York

New York City Dept of Education
NTC is working to implement a full-release mentoring model as part of a city-wide new teacher induction program, providing mentor training and support in designing and facilitating ongoing mentor professional development, program evaluation, and use of the NTC FAS materials.

Jewish Day School
Since 2003, has supported the the design and implementation of an induction program in Jewish day schools in the greater New York metropolitan area, supported by AVI CHAI Foundation.

Puerto Rico

Puerto Rico Department of Education
Providing territory wide mentor training in conjunction with the Puerto Rico DOE, training is conducted fully in Spanish using translated training materials.

Tennessee

University of Memphis
A partnership has lead to the establishment of the NTC at the University of Memphis, funded by the Plough Foundation. Since 2003, full-release mentors support beginning teachers in Memphis Public Schools.

Texas

Houston Independent School District
NTC works with five high schools in two sub-districts at this Carnegie TIPS site, providing full-release literacy coaches being trained as mentors in collaboration with three local universities.

Virginia

Virginia Commonwealth University, Richmond
NTC provides consultation and training for mentors in a consortium of school districts linked to VCU.

Caroline County Schools
NTC provides training to full-release mentors and consultation in the use of NTC FAS materials.

Amherst County
Working with a university induction partnership, NTC provides mentor training and FAS materials and supports the capability of project leads to deliver trainings locally.

Washington

Puget Sound Professional Development Center
NTC Provides regional Mentor Academy training for four school districts with full-release mentors.

Seattle Public Schools
NTC provides Mentor Academy training for mentors in Seattle Public Schools.

Wisconsin
