Analysis of Student Work

The Analysis of Student Work involves a careful, collaborative examination of the new teacher's students work to better understand their learning needs and then to determine how best to address those needs.

With their mentor, new teachers select an assignment that has the potential to offer important information about their student's learning.

The Analysis of Student Work tool guides the mentor and new teacher through the process of analyzing student work samples, understanding specific learning needs and then identifying teaching strategies that will help differentiate instruction.
