Alternative Professional Clear Administrative Services Credential Program

The Association of California School Administrators (ACSA) and the New Teacher Center at University of California-Santa Cruz (NTC) have partnered to offer an alternative program for the Professional Clear Administrative Services Credential. The Alternate Clear Credentialing Program (ACCP) provides two years of on-site individualized coaching by certified Leadership Coaches to novice school administrators. Successful candidates will receive their credential at the end of the two-year period.

  • Participate in two years of one-to-one coaching with a certified leadership coach
  • Receive 3-6 hours of coaching monthly at the candidate’s school site
  • Receive ongoing telephone and e-mail support from their leadership coach
  • Utilize documents on “My eCoach” for pre- and post-assessments and an individualized development plan
  • Document evidence of meeting CPSEL standards
  • Participate in at least two local New Administrator Institute Seminars each year

PROGRAM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Candidates must enroll within 90 days of first administrative position after completion of Prelimary Service Credential (waivers of this requirement are possible).
  • Candidates apply and register through their local program.
  • Candidates commit to the program requirements by signing the CLASS Participation Agreement.
  • Coaching is driven by the CPSELs.
