The Model Teaching Documentary Project is affiliated with the New Teacher Center at the University of California at Santa Cruz. The Project focus is on developing, producing, and disseminating a variety of effective educational, training, and documentary video programs, designed to support professional development, teacher training, as well as thoughtful public discourse on education policy, language learning, and bilingual education.

Meeting the Challenge of Teaching Linguistically
Diverse Students Video Series
This professionally produced documentary video series presents teaching at its best. Dynamic educators demonstrate some of the latest and most effective instructional practices available for teachers of linguistically and culturally diverse students. Extended classroom scenes are combined with interviews of featured teachers and educational experts describing how and why these instructional practices are successful. Each video is accompanied by a comprehensive facilitators guide containing background information, focus questions, and workshop outlines for a variety of formats. The videos and guides are designed for use in staff development, teacher education courses or parent and community meetings.
